In addition to providing commercial recovery services for over 30 years, Cosgroves Recovery have also been building, fabricating and repairing recovery trucks for the same length of time.

Indeed, we have established a well respected name within our industry for the design and build of recovery vehicles and equipment, to a recovery operators specific requirements, in addition to the construction and fabrication of many other types of specialist vehicle for the general haulage industry.

We will undertake all aspects of the design, build and fabrication of recovery trucks and equipment to exacting standards and conforming to all regulatory requirements. Our work to date includes:

• Fabrication of slide beds, second car lifts, accident units and heavy under lift recovery vehicles of proven tried and tested designs
• Repair and rebuild of recovery vehicles of all types – heavy, light, and specialist vehicles to customers specifications
• Restoration of damaged recovery trucks and removal of corrosion to bodies, coachwork and equipment
• Conversion of vehicles for recovery, general or specialist haulage purposes, including cement mixers and plant bodies
• Design and build of bespoke alloy and steel storage boxes, lockers, beds, under lifts and flyers

In our purpose-built workshops we can manufacture recovery units from start to finish, either from our own choice of truck body or from a customers own supplied vehicle. Our team of technicians are skilled in:

• Advising and consulting on suitable vehicle bodies and equipment for a range of recovery vehicle types and their intended purpose
• Welding, cutting and modifying vehicle bodies for use in appropriate methods of recovery/rescue
• Selecting, fitting and adapting cranes, lifts, booms and winches suitable for the vehicles recovery purpose
• Design and fit of full hydraulic systems, pipes, valves and compressors
• Customisation of all functional electrics, plus beacons, lights and strobes
• Painting and finish of coachwork and livery to showroom standards

We will advise on, modify, mount, test and approve all current state of the art recovery equipment to customers vehicles and units. We are fully conversant with all of the leading manufacturers equipment including - Boniface, Dyson, Brimec, Trident, Hiab, PM etc.

Due to the decades of experience we have in building, modifying and repairing recovery trucks, we pride ourselves on our diagnostic abilities. We will undertake consultation on customers vehicles, unable or unsuitable to deal with their required rescue situations, and our team will diagnose the difficulties, recommend appropriate solutions and alternatives, and finally action any modifications.
